I get itchiness over my body from outside heat, even at 70 degrees, and also from any bodily heat as a result of exertion. I had surgery 3 weeks ago to revise my VP shunt, and soon after, this itchiness started. My doctor does not see a connection to the surgery. What could be causing this itchiness, and what treatment can help?

I think I may have a sexually transmitted disease (STD) but my symptoms do not match any of the common ones. I have an agitated skin rash on my penis that has lasted for about two months. There is no pain, burning, blood in urine or sperm, discharge, odor, fever, or back pain. I am in very good health and very active. What could be causing this rash and what should I do?

I have been experiencing generalized body swelling for about 6 months. I have had various tests including scopes, ultrasounds, and a hydroscan of the gallbladder, but nothing has shown any issues. My face is swollen, especially around the eyes, and I experience breathlessness. My kidney function tests are okay, and my EKG last week was fine, but my hands and feet swell so badly at night that it wakes me from sleep. What could be causing this and what should I do next?

I just started my period and have never had very heavy bleeding. My pad is soaked every 2 hours. I had a kid 11 months ago and since then, my period has never been the same. I'm very worried. I also took Plan B pills on 2/17/09 and 2/18/09, and started my period on 2/25/09. What could be causing the heavy bleeding, and what should I do?

I was diagnosed with vertigo a couple of months ago. The initial dizziness, like the room spinning, went away with medication. However, I started feeling dizzy again two weeks later with different symptoms: burning eyes (I have dry eye syndrome), somewhat plugged ears, sinus pain with no discharge, and a runny nose. I've taken Tylenol Sinus/headache medication with some success, but the dizziness persists. It's hard to describe, but it feels like a sensation in my ears at the same time. Should I see my internal medicine physician, or can I try another type of medication on my own?
