My mother has been experiencing severe, clenching liver pain radiating to her back, similar to gallbladder pain but without a gallbladder since 1980. The pain is unresolved by narcotics but somewhat relieved by Xanax. Liver and blood tests are normal, MRI shows nothing, and a scope into the esophagus and liver duct shows no recurrence of duct stones. She has persistent nausea, chills/overheating, weakness, disturbed sleep, confusion, dizziness, itching, increased blood pressure, and has been a non-insulin-dependent diabetic for 10 years. The doctors cannot find the source of her pain since last September. What could be causing her pain and what additional tests or treatments should be considered?

I recently had a comprehensive parasitology test which showed low beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus species), high levels of Enterobacter cloacae and Klebsiella oxytoca, and yeast (1+). I have been struggling with extreme fatigue for over a year now. My primary care physician found EBV and a prior case of mono, and a rheumotologist indicated RA based on anti-CCP tests.
