I have been drinking heavily, about 8 drinks every night, for the past 3 months since turning 21. I am concerned about developing Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome or blood clotting disorders. How common are these conditions and do they develop over months or years?

I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in my right foot below the knee. The pain is severe and keeps me awake at night. I have an appointment with a doctor next week. I have a jealousy issue. My partner is wonderful and not causing it. I feel constantly scared of being hurt even though she has done nothing. She has many friends and I'm jealous of her time with them. I know she had a past incident where she had a one-night stand with a married man. I think about this and conjure up thoughts to torture myself. I recognize this is my fault and need help. I need to resolve this otherwise I'm sure I will lose her. I understand jealousy is about self-esteem, but I need specifics on what I can do daily to get these thoughts out of my head. I'm also open to over-the-counter medications if necessary. What are the basic reasons for my jealousy and are there mental techniques I can use to prevent spiraling down? I'm open to seeing a mental therapist or psychologist and have already set up an appointment, but I also feel there must be ways of exercising mental control over my emotions, especially when dealing with my partner's past relationships. I don't think past relationships have any place in evaluating my partner or dealing with this issue - and it definitely sets my jealousy off. Thank you.
