I have been experiencing daily stomach pains for the past month, especially after eating. The pain is in the middle of my stomach and comes and goes. I also have increased gas, occasional nausea, and pain during bowel movements. What could this be and what should I do?

In the last 48 hours, I have had stomach pain about 1" below my belly button. The pain is both on the left and right sides of the belly button and is a burning pain, rated about a 4 on a scale from 1-10. The pain is relieved by a bowel movement, my bowels are normally large but are quite small in the last 48 hours, and there is tenderness when I touch below my belly button. I don't feel sick and have no fever. The pain lasts only a few seconds and comes and goes, with 4-5 hours passing with no pain. The pain is most intense in the morning just after getting up and seems worse after eating a meal. I had this happen before about 3 years ago and it lasted about a week. I have had irritable bowel syndrome for over 12 years, and fatty or spicy foods trigger pain. Could this be related to food, and is there anything I can take? I am a 45-year-old male.

I am a 49-year-old female diagnosed with Lyme disease based on a blood test result of 7 out of a range of 5-10. I have been experiencing increased fatigue and aches for the past three months but have had general aches and pains for a while. I never had the bull's eye rash. What does the number range mean, how can I gauge how long I've had Lyme disease, and what happens after the antibiotic treatment? Will the number decrease if the antibiotic is working, and is Lyme disease always detectable in my system?

My daughter has MS and a friend is telling her to do acid (LSD) because it will cure her. Is there any truth to this at all? I think not, but would like to hear it from a professional.
