Can female hormones cause PVCs (premature ventricular contractions)? I have started having them and they come around ovulation and period. I am 35 years old, do not take birth control pills, do not drink or smoke, and do not have hyperthyroidism. I have gained weight over the last 4 years but do not have hypothyroidism either. I switched to half decaf coffee and do not drink soda. I notice PVCs around ovulation and period and can have one or 20 a day. No pain or shortness of breath and they ease up after my period.
