My 6-month-old baby has never been a great sleeper, waking up multiple times during the night and refusing to sleep in his cot. He only sleeps when put down in a deep sleep but wakes up crying after 30 minutes. He has been in a routine of going to bed at 8:30 PM for a few months now, but he won't sleep in the cot, as if he is scared of it. What should I do?

I have had pain in my left jaw for several months, which I initially attributed to my lupus. However, I now have pain behind my left ear that occurs only when I press on the back of the ear. The pain is exacerbated by eating and opening my mouth wide, and my jaw clicks. There are no headaches, ear infections, sinus problems, or dental issues, and no tenderness on the right ear. What could be causing this pain?

How can I lose the extra weight I have gained around my belly? I am 53 and going through menopause. I haven't had a menstrual period in about 3 years. I have had to buy larger size pants. This weight gain happened overnight. I have tried to do crunches and eat less but to no success. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Do you think it could be a hormonal change? Should I get on hormones??
