I think I may have arthritis in my finger knuckle. What is the best remedy for the pain?

I am worried that I have necrotizing fasciitis (the flesh-eating bacteria) due to a small cut/irritation on my genital area from masturbating. The cut appeared last Sunday, is scabbing, and had a little blue scab on part of the cut. I applied Neosporin on Monday and today. I took my temperature multiple times and it ranged from 95.6 to 98.9. Can a cut in this area still get infected by any disease, including necrotizing fasciitis, and what steps should I take to ensure it heals properly?

I take Vytorin 10/40 once a day for high cholesterol. I'm experiencing muscle pain and weakness in my upper right arm. The pain is localized and has been slowly improving but never completely going away. Is this type of localized muscle pain and weakness typical for Vytorin, or would the effects be more general?
