I have discomfort under my right breast on my side that comes and goes. It has been present for about 6 months and sometimes feels like burning. There is no cough, sputum, or fever, and the discomfort is not associated with breathing or coughing. I take Pepcid every other day. The discomfort sometimes occurs after eating, but there is no yellow discoloration of the skin or eyes, nausea, or vomiting. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My stepdaughter, who is 13 years old, has had a rash for about 9 months. The rash is on the back of her arm, round, and resembles a bull's eye with red on the outside and normal skin in the center. Sometimes she gets small blisters around it. There used to be just one, but now there is another on her back. She claims her mom took her to the doctor, who said if it clears up, it's fine. I am concerned because her mother has herpes, and I fear it could be an infectious rash related to herpes. Additionally, my husband had a liver transplant in 2009 and could be at risk if it is something serious. What could this rash be, and what should we do?

I have been prescribed metronidazole for my IBS. The doctor said to take it every 8 hours, which is 3 times a day. I think he mentioned 5 days, but I'm not sure. Could you confirm the duration and also explain why this medicine was given and if it can eliminate the bad bacteria causing my IBS symptoms? Additionally, should I use Nexium with metronidazole, and if so, how many hours should I keep between the two medicines?
