My husband has been breaking out in a rash on the back of his legs, mostly behind his knees but also on his thighs. He has tried various treatments including anti-itch cream, high-end lotions, Vaseline, and triple antibiotic ointment, but the rash remains. What could this be and what could he use to make it go away?

Should I choose Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety or substance abuse, as neither seems to address both issues? Also, is it safe to take Vicodin prescribed by my dentist for pain after having root canals, especially considering my history of substance abuse?

I ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant on Saturday. After dinner, I felt tired and lightheaded, and I've been in bed all weekend with a fever that peaked at 101.1°F and now ranges between 99.6°F and 99.3°F. I still feel lightheaded and experience a tingling sensation when I get up or turn my head. I don't think it's food poisoning as I have no gastrointestinal symptoms. What could be causing this and what should I do before returning to work tomorrow?

Today I found dried blood on my front door. I wiped it with a wet paper towel and did not think much about it till right now. The thing is that after I wiped it out I ate breakfast without washing my hands because I was in a hurry. And I also have open scratches on my hands due to my two cats. So, if the blood was HIV positive, what is the chance of transmission? Can getting the blood wet reactivate the virus?

I have a persistent lump-like sensation in the front of my throat, similar to where my Adam's apple is, which feels swollen. I have seen two ENT specialists over the last five months, and they have diagnosed it as acid reflux, but I suspect it might be related to thyroid or larynx issues, possibly even cancer. Symptoms include a tight feeling in the throat, a hoarse voice, constant burping, an enlarged thyroid (not visible but palpable), difficulty breathing, swallowing problems, and a dry mouth. Tests conducted include nasal laryngoscopy, two barium swallows, a CT scan of the soft tissue of the neck, and a thyroid blood test, all of which were normal. What additional tests or evaluations can I request to diagnose the underlying cause of these symptoms?
