On December 9th, I experienced a sore throat on the left side with no fever, cough, or runny nose. After testing negative for strep and being treated with antibiotics without relief, the pain spread to both sides of my throat. I later had oral sex with a woman on December 1st and, after experiencing additional symptoms, was diagnosed with oral gonorrhea and treated. However, the left side of my throat and ear are still hurting. How long does it take to clear oral gonorrhea, and could there be another underlying issue such as mononucleosis?
