On Thursday morning, I woke up with a severe headache, took Excedrin, and later experienced lightheadedness, dizziness, vomiting (until it was bile and blood), and vaginal bleeding. My husband called an ambulance, and I went to the ER where I received medication for nausea and dizziness, had blood work and a CAT scan, which were normal, and was told I was not pregnant. I had an appointment with my doctor for symptoms of a rapid heartbeat sensation in my left ear when yawning, hiccuping, or turning my head quickly, which also occurred in my right ear when vomiting. The doctor suspected an inner ear infection. I still have the ear sensation and the vaginal bleeding has not stopped. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I suggest to my doctor for further investigation?

If I take oxycodone 15 mg and then take an oxycontin 20 mg tablet, will the urine and/or blood test result indicate that I have taken oxycontin instead of oxycodone, or are they considered the same medicine?

I just lost a 35-year-old cousin to cirrhosis. I am 51 and started drinking heavily in the past four years after losing a dear friend. I have now stopped drinking for good but am too ashamed to go to my doctor. I called a lab that offers a liver profile test. What will this test tell me about my liver's condition and potential damage?
