Since the other night, every time I breathe in deeply, I experience painful pressure in my throat and upper chest area. The more I do it, the worse it gets, and bending over makes it really bad. I have no cough or soreness, and it started after a vigorous evening and dinner. I have MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) and GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), and I'm currently taking 1/4 mg of Ativan to sleep at night and Prilosec OTC. No tests have been done yet. What could be causing this pain, and what should I do?
