I am experiencing excessive production of saliva, which is quite distressing. I have had this issue before, particularly in my early 20s and during the first trimester of pregnancy. I am currently 42, in good health, and still breastfeeding my 2-year-old child. I've heard of dry mouth problems with age, but excessive saliva production seems rare. What could be causing this and are there any dietary changes or other recommendations to manage it?

I have a bleeding ulcer and have been hospitalized twice for a week each time. The first time, I had two blood transfusions, but my body did not accept the blood, and my hematocrit went back down. I was also recently hospitalized in June for exploratory laparoscopic surgery where a hernia and adhesions from gastric bypass surgery were found. I'm taking protonix, but I'm not convinced that was my only problem. I usually end up in the hospital every 2-3 years with the same issue. What are the medications I'm taking, and what investigations like blood work, stool examination, endoscopy findings, and CT scan reports should I consider?
