What should my prolactin level be after a full hysterectomy, and what does a high level indicate? My prolactin level is 12.6 ng/ml, and I was told it should be below 6 by an obgyn, but my regular doctor said it was okay. I have symptoms similar to pregnancy, such as breast lactation and weight gain. I had an MRI of my pituitary gland, which came out negative, but the area was not specifically focused on. What is a normal prolactin level, and what should I do if my level is high?
