15% of my salary has been taken due to the Governor's furloughs. I had to abandon my home with its adjusting mortgage and stop paying my second mortgage. Three weeks ago I was served papers stating I was being sued by Beneficial, the 2nd mortgage company. It's "limited, > $10,000 but < $25,000. To respond, it costs $360, which I don't have. I'm not eligible for a waiver. Can they give me time to save up the money? What is the longest time I could get? I'm barely making ends meet because of the furloughs. Do I have any options to avoid paying out another bill? Would bankruptcy be an option - since I'll already have years of a poor credit rating?
