A gate struck my truck at a hospital, making it undrivable. The hospital's insurance company has offered to pay only 1/3 of the cost to fix the truck, and I believe they should cover the entire cost. I'm unsure whether to let their claims appraiser assess the damage or wait until I consult a lawyer. What should I do?

I filed a broad, non-specific answer to an HOA complaint disputing back fees and requesting my day in court. Due to constraints, I didn't fully research and prepare an explicit response with all my affirmative defenses. Can I now file a motion to amend or supplement the original answer, or should I add all my objections and defenses in my motion to deny or dismiss the motion for summary judgment? There are genuine material facts that need to be determined by the court.

My 18-year-old daughter broke up with her 18-year-old boyfriend who gave her a spiral notebook full of handwritten notes for studying physics. After the breakup, he demanded the notebook back, but she couldn't find it. The campus police officer, who is friends with the ex-boyfriend and his family, threatened to charge her with vandalism and criminal mischief if she doesn't return the notebook by Friday. We've searched for the notebook but can't find it. What should we do? Can they really pursue legal action against her, and will it affect her ability to get a job and be admitted to college?

A newspaper reporter accused me of falsifying my military service record, which includes five honorable discharges from five wars, including service in Iraq with the 1/4 Cavalry in 2009. I was seriously wounded when my Stryker vehicle was hit by an RPG. Despite having documents to prove my service, the reporter turned me in to the 'STOLEN VALOR BLOG,' which has accused me of being a 'STOLEN VALOR CANDIDATE FOR 2013.' They are deliberately destroying my reputation without verifying the facts. What legal recourse do I have to make them acknowledge my record and compensate for the damage to my reputation?

If I run an online forum and allow people to post pornographic material, do I need to verify their age? Also, as a service provider, do I need to prohibit or restrict access if I allow adult material or allow members to insult each other?
