As a wedding photographer in New Jersey, I have clients canceling their wedding dates due to the coronavirus and requesting their retainer fee/deposit back, citing an 'act of God' clause in the contract. Can I have a lawyer review the contract to advise on whether I am obligated to return the deposits, especially when I am willing to reschedule the weddings free of charge?

I saw a psychotherapist for ten years due to an abusive and traumatic childhood. After terminating therapy, I discovered she published a 'fictional' novel containing scenarios from my personal history. While she didn't use my name, I'm disturbed that she used my trauma for her own gain. Do I have any private legal recourse or any recourse at all?
