Can a business be liable for providing how-to content along with the sale of a product? For example, if we sell a tool for performing a task and include a how-to guide for performing that task with the tool, and the task is performed poorly by the customer and as a result they are injured.

A collection agency has added a comment to my credit report stating that I am disputing the account, which is time-barred as the statute of limitations has expired. I need to have this comment removed to obtain a loan to purchase a home. The credit reporting agencies say it can only be removed by the collector.
