Can I sue my former landlord for defamation, breach of verbal contract, lost wages, and sabotaging my business? She is posting lies about me on Facebook, claiming I removed the winning card from a raffle game at my restaurant, broke a verbal agreement to fund the restaurant, and caused my business to lose thousands in sales.

My company, with multiple office locations, is trying to join an organization of office leaders. The bylaws state 'one rep per office,' and the organization is interpreting 'office' to mean the entire entity rather than individual locations. Can 'one per office' be interpreted to mean organization, or should it be interpreted as one rep per location?

A credit union in Puerto Rico is refusing to accept a valid, Florida-registered durable power of attorney that gives the daughter of a 91-year-old woman with early to mid-stage dementia authority to manage her mother's financial affairs. Should the credit union honor the power of attorney, and if legal action is needed, do we need a Florida attorney and/or a Puerto Rico attorney? The credit union has refused to release the funds for months; at what point would civil litigation be appropriate?

Am I responsible for my deceased husband's hospital bill from August 2016 in Canada, which I thought I had paid but received an invoice for in March 2018 after his death and the probate of his will in May 2017 in Texas?

I have paid the current rent due, but my landlord is claiming there is a balance from unpaid rent from November 2017, which I was never notified about. I have all receipts showing rent was paid. My lease is not up until October, but he sent a letter saying we have to move out because he wants to sell the property. What should I do since I have no record of him sending me anything regarding a past due amount?

I live in PA and owe $2400 to a NJ lawyer for services rendered. I verbally agreed to a $100 bi-weekly payment plan, but the lawyer's office charged my debit card $1000, overdrawing my account by $900. They refuse to reverse the charge or return my calls. What rights do I have and what can I do?
