I hired a mover who did not complete the job, lost the screws to my bedroom furniture, damaged some of my furniture, and has not returned my calls. The owner said he would buy more screws and come back to assemble my bed but never did. I paid them $1260, and there was no contract for the second move. What legal steps can I take to address this issue?

In our subdivision, the Board of Directors requires that proxies for voting must be notarized, which most members dispute. The bylaws were changed a few years ago with the intention to eliminate this requirement, but a Board Member who is a lawyer insists that proxies still need to be notarized. Can you review the voting section of our bylaws and clarify whether proxies need to be notarized based on the current version and the intent of the 2018 bylaw change?
