Do you have to be current on your mortgage payment in Arizona if your loan has been in underwriting for over 7 months, it is a Fannie Mae loan, you are now 2 months late, and you are disabled on social security income? Can you file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy due to credit card and medical expenses and reaffirm the debt on your home because you are still waiting for an answer for your loan modification?

I have been in a divorce for three years and requested a jury trial, but it is now going to be a bench trial, and the presiding judge seems biased. My soon-to-be ex-spouse has broken laws without consequence, and I am losing my home and community property. What can be done?

I was driving in South Carolina on I-77 and was pulled over by a police officer who claimed I was speeding and had something obstructing my license plate. What should I do about the $81 speeding ticket I received?

I recently received a charge of OVI in Ohio after refusing to take field sobriety tests and breathalyzer. The officer found me trying to get unstuck from snow in an alley and smelled alcohol on me. I have prescriptions for knee surgeries but didn't have them with me. Can I use my prescriptions as a defense for the OVI charge, and could this affect my RN license?

I live in Alabama and have been on probation for about 2 years. I was scheduled to be released on April 23 of this year, but I received a letter from my probation officer stating that I am on probation for 3 more years because I haven't paid any fines since July 2009. I have financial difficulties and pay my probation officer every month. I have done everything the judge asked, such as getting my GED and working two jobs, but my primary job is not guaranteed and my second job only provides 25 hours a week, possibly less. I have been on unsupervised probation for about a year and was not informed that my probation could be extended if restitution was not paid in full. How can they extend my probation, and how can I resolve this situation?

My wife and I have been separated for a year due to her infidelity. We have two children. She left my home voluntarily and went to live with a male friend. They have been living together for one year. In the state of Texas, I would assume that they are common law married. I am in the process of consulting a lawyer to initiate the divorce process. Is she violating state law by not being legally divorced and living with another person for a year? Please advise.
