My girlfriend was in a relationship with a man for 7 years and bought a work van/truck for him due to his poor credit/finances. The relationship ended shortly after the purchase, but the vehicle and loan remain in her name. He makes payments to her in cash, and he handles the insurance. She has repeatedly asked him to transfer the vehicle and loan out of her name, but he promises to do so without action. The vehicle is registered to her in PA, and the loan is in her name only. We are concerned about potential liability if he uses the vehicle improperly. Should we involve the police to retrieve the vehicle from his residence if they are willing to assist?
