Michael M. asked
I was fired for what was considered misconduct/ethics violation. My unemployment was denied but I can appeal. Is it worth appealing my unemployment benefits?

My girlfriend was in a relationship with a man for 7 years and bought a work van/truck for him due to his poor credit/finances. The relationship ended shortly after the purchase, but the vehicle and loan remain in her name. He makes payments to her in cash, and he handles the insurance. She has repeatedly asked him to transfer the vehicle and loan out of her name, but he promises to do so without action. The vehicle is registered to her in PA, and the loan is in her name only. We are concerned about potential liability if he uses the vehicle improperly. Should we involve the police to retrieve the vehicle from his residence if they are willing to assist?

The outgoing board voted to approve a contract, but I don't see how it's binding. What if we don't like the contractor's performance?

Does a background check company see closed cases and does it get updated to show no pending changes/litigation in the state of Pennsylvania? Additionally, how can this affect obtaining a passport?

In 2012, I signed a lease for a home for 1 year at $2600.00 per month. I have been paying $2700.00 per month since August 2012, and we never signed another rental agreement. Now, the landlord wants to increase the rent to $3500.00 per month. I have overpaid approximately $7900.00 so far. Am I entitled to my money back on overpayment?

One Board member is causing significant issues in our HOA, including releasing executive Board minutes to a local newspaper, defaming my character on social media, and making false accusations of theft without proof. He has also attempted to access community bank accounts and is creating chaos at meetings. Our HOA attorney is reluctant to send him a letter. Can we remove him from the board, and what steps can we take to address his behavior?
