Is there a legal action that can be taken against ongoing defamation in a group of associated churches around the country against three former leaders who have been found innocent by many church members, and also against myself as I have been defamed for defending them on our internet forum since 2006? I am located in WA and am considering a defamation lawsuit, but would prefer a less protracted solution such as a letter from a lawyer that could lead to a settlement with confessions to the churches.

I fell on the steps of my son's rental property in New Jersey, resulting in a severe ankle injury requiring surgery. I now experience burning pain and arthritis in the ankle, making daily activities difficult. The property was poorly maintained, and despite this, the owner claims the steps were not out of code because the house was built in 1952. Can a business be liable for providing how-to content along with the sale of a product? For example, if we sell a tool for performing a task and include a how-to guide for performing that task with the tool, and the task is performed poorly by the customer and as a result they are injured.

I am on Federal probation with a special condition prohibiting self-employment in the business or field of investing, marketing, or promoting investments and/or investment strategies. I want to run a marketing agency helping small local companies like gyms get more leads, but my parole officer said no. How can he when it has nothing to do with Investments? Additionally, I am mentoring a family member who owns a marketing business, and I have helped him with websites and client campaigns, but I have made no money and do not intend to. Is this okay, and what is the worst that could happen if it is classified as a violation?
