I am seeking professional legal counsel to help me with a habeas corpus writ to the Supreme Court. I am in Canada and was removed in violation of 8 USC 1101(a)(47)(B). The criminal conviction under habeas review was out of US District Court in Kansas. I have an immigration lawyer who has offered some guidance, but I haven't discussed this with any firm. The case is exceptionally complex, and I have applied for habeas review in district court but was denied as moot due to my removal to Canada, which is likely to be reversed on remand to the BIA. What should I do next?

I worked for a law office for two years as their cleaning lady. One of my responsibilities was disposing of garbage which was already bagged. The garbage would always have legal documents that weren't shredded. I wasn't given instructions on how to dispose of them or money for garbage tags, so I put them on the dumpster at my other work place. I live in South Carolina and have had a civil suit filed against me by a debt collector. If this goes to court and I end up with a judgment, can the sheriff seize my car? I spoke to a bankruptcy lawyer who said in this state they can't take your car if it's the only one you have. I want a second opinion because losing my car would be catastrophic as a single parent of 3 living on disability in a rural area. Additionally, my wife has a car registered in both our names; is that car in jeopardy because my name is on it?
