If a newspaper article alleges a crime was committed by me (domestic violence dated 12 years ago) and this same case was actually just dropped by the district attorney completely, and now I find myself in a civil case currently where an attorney for the opposing side is filing in his motions with the court that I physically abused my ex-girlfriend and stating it as fact specifically not addressing those events as alleged, would this be considered defamation or slander? I find it very troubling that he is stating this as a matter of fact and believe it is causing me harm in the way the judge is now perceiving me.

Does a state probation department or probation officer have access to, or are they notified when probationers travel out of the country on a commercial flight, possibly through TSA or any other entity? Is there a national list or database available that continuously updates and is accessible to probation departments?

The customer was at fault for damage to part of his soybean crop due to bad information given and refused to pay the bill afterward, continuing to use the services without payment. What are the options for collecting this debt?

I have been involved in three Class Action Settlement funds from Costa Rica SUGEF, where I was required to pay fees upfront. I have paid $10K on one, $5K on another, and $9K on the third, but I am concerned that I will never see any Settlement funds. I have all the wire transfer records and Legal Contracts. What can I do to resolve this situation and get my fees returned?
