I fell after grabbing an unstable handrail on the right side of the stairs as I was walking down, causing me to lose my balance and fall off the stairs. This happened in Colorado. I sent a text to the renter I was visiting asking for information on the homeowner's insurance and requesting the landlord's contact information, but I haven't received a response. Thinking about purchasing two lots to build mobile homes to rent individually to my brother-in-law and sister. The source of funding would be from a self-managed IRA (via third party administrator). Is this allowed given that the tenants are relatives? What are typical charges incurred by the owner? HOA, Property Taxes, and Insurance? I hired someone to do a bathroom remodel. It’s been 2 months of no shows and broken promises. I have managed to get my money back but he has left misc tools and a brand new shower and door in my garage. I have asked him numerous times to get it picked up. It’s actually in my way to get to other things that I need. What can I do? Sell it? What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location. What steps have you taken so far?
