I purchased a car for my daughter and husband, and my name is the only one on the loan and registration. They are defaulting on the loan, and my credit is being affected. They have possession of the car and plan to move out of state. Can I legally take the car back, and what are my legal responsibilities if there is an accident involving the vehicle?

As an international student on F-1 OPT, my OPT ends in February 2017, and I have been admitted to a masters program starting January 2017. The new school is requesting a SEVIS transfer out form from my undergraduate school. What date should I fill as the transfer out date since I will have to stop working after the date selected? Will I be required to go back to my home country ASAP, or can I stay in the US and start attending classes with the new I-20? Do I need to visit my country for a new visa stamping?

In a Northern California multifamily sale involving a dual agent, where should the commission be listed aside from the listing agreement? Should the commission percentages be stated on the purchase sales agreements, especially in a dual agency situation? Additionally, where is the agent required to disclose any credits from their commission back to the seller, and how should those credits be listed on the closing statement by law, per the DRE?

I am being sued in small claims court by a friend who stored items in my garage. She claims items are missing and is suing for $10,000. We had no contract, and she never paid rent for storing or staying with me. What should I do to defend myself, and can I countersue for unpaid rent?
