I am a 71-year-old woman living in an independent living retirement facility. My neighbor has been harassing me, falsely accusing me, and involving her nephews, leading me to believe a government agency is involved due to hallucinations caused by something in my cooling system. I have health issues including breathing problems from allergies, and this situation has worsened my condition. I have decided to move to a different apartment complex but continue to experience harassment and health issues. The facility manager has misrepresented my medical situation, and I have no one else to turn to for help. What legal recourse do I have?

I have a settlement amount of $187,500.00. My lawyer is paying a $70,000.00 medical lien and a $25,000.00 payment. I believe the normal firm rate is 30% of my settlement, which amounts to $62,500.00 for Legal Fees. They are also taking out $175.00 for Outside Document Services Fees and $408.67 for Administrative Costs (Copies, medical records, postage). That leaves me with a balance of $99,416.33. Are these numbers and the other deductions the lawyer made correct, according to the law? The lawyer is acting kind of shady, like relocating without informing me. I can not get him on the phone. The receptionist told me he did not know the new address and to call him back. I have close to $100,000.00 coming to me and I do not want some hairbrained lawyer running off with it. I need help here. I thought about calling the Atlanta Bar and reporting him. I have been calling to find out if my check has come in. At our last meeting, the lawyer told me it should be about 45 days. What should I do in this situation, when the lawyer is noncommunicative, but he is handling my settlement?

There is a Dunkin Donuts that keeps its food dumpster open and often overflowing with food, attracting squirrels, birds, and eventually rats, leading to a rat infestation on my property. Dunkin Donuts reimbursed me $500 two years ago for expenses related to rat control, but the problem has recurred due to their non-compliance with proper dumpster management. The manager refuses to provide the owner's address or the corporate office's address. What can I do?
