A new management company took over the resort where I worked as the director of purchasing and engineering. After about three weeks, they fired me, stating they no longer needed a purchasing person and brought their own engineer, making me redundant. Is this legal? Additionally, the new engineer is purchasing items that I used to buy for other departments, which are unrelated to engineering.
