I am a Danish national on vacation in Buffalo, New York, and my passport stamp indicates I must leave the country by May 10, but my ticket is for May 11. I cannot use the I-539 form for an extension because I am here on a Visa Waiver. I tried crossing into Canada and returning to get a new stamp, but it did not work. What should I do to avoid potential future issues with re-entering the U.S.?

I'm a 52-year-old male who had shoulder surgery on 11/12/2010 and has since lost 30% of my movement. I've used up all my leave and am returning to work at 70% capacity, which is my 100% post-surgery. My job requires 100% and I'm in daily pain. The doctor suggests more tests and possibly more surgery, which could risk my job. I have house payments and other financial responsibilities. What legal options do I have to address this situation, and is there a way to pursue action without jeopardizing my job?

I have been sued in a Justice of the Peace (JP) court in Texas. The judge made a hometown decision for the plaintiff. I have appealed this decision to the District Court. What is my next step? Can I handle this matter or should I hire a lawyer? How much time do I have, and is a bond necessary?

I bought a car and had it picked up by a friend who took the title and put it in their name. Now, I'm out of money and out of a car. The police believe the friend because they have the title. What should I do to recover my money and prove my right to the car?
