I am a pro se party and need to research case law due to desperation. Where can I find case law, and must I subscribe to a service? Google Scholar directs me to paid sites. How can I learn to research case law, and are there user-friendly sites that guide through various aspects of a case? I understand there is a specific order and requirements for citing case law, and legal advice often returns a 60% held opinion. I need validated advice by case law and don't know where to begin.
