I am an independent contractor in Georgia, working as a massage therapist where all my supplies are provided and my clients are booked for me. I am dealing with a hostile, verbally abusive supervisor. I am not the first to be treated this way by her, but I am the one who stood up for myself and reported her threats to the big boss. Do I have any rights?

My son was suspended for the rest of the year for an incident with a teacher who felt threatened. He has been placed in a 2-hour after-school program, is not receiving assistance in his industrial arts class, and has been assigned to write a full-page essay each week instead of participating in gym class. He has been marked as unexcused absent 14 times despite attending every session except for 2 when he was sick. He has been suspended since December 17. Where can I get help locally to ensure he receives the education he deserves? He is 16 and a 10th grader.
