I am being sued by my old landlord for rent payments on a property he no longer owns. The complaint indicates 6 months of rent are due, but I have a cancelled check for the first month in question, paid a month in advance and a month security for the next two months, and the property went to Deed in Lieu of foreclosure on 03/25/2015. I am now paying the new owner. Additionally, the original landlord did not fulfill his obligations under the lease, such as providing a bathroom and heat, and turned off our power twice. My questions are: 1. If the deed is signed and dated 03/25, could he still continue to collect rent after that? 2. Should I include the issues in my response to the complaint or should I file a counterclaim?

I have a tenant that is verbally abusive. When something goes wrong, they become aggressive. My maintenance guy refuses to service this unit now, leaving me in need to find another person. Should I give the tenant a warning about their behavior, or is it best to ignore it?

I went to the Morris Plains office for East Coast Weight Loss Center and was asked to take a Zyto scan and then given supplements for a 30 to 40 lb. weight loss in 20 days. I paid $600 at the visit and set up an automatic payment for the next 4 or 5 months for $320. I have not used any of the products. I did more research when I got home and found many responses that this was a scam and I called my bank to see what I could do about future withdrawals. I was told to change my debit card number and I did. Tonight I got a text from Greg, advising I need to call tonight because they were going to freeze my account. That of course would cause problems. Please advise. Total cost I believe was $1500 and I paid $920. Going to attend my great niece's wedding in October and lost all reason. Please advise.

My daughter paid $10,000 for a BSN program with The College Network, but the RN program is no longer approved in the state of NC. The College Network refuses to refund her money. Is there any recourse?
