I am being sued for showing a fight at my bar without paying Direct TV's license fee. The case is under the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C 553 and 605 in Texas. The lawsuit was filed 7 days before 3 years had passed since the alleged violation. I need to know if Texas has established a statute of limitations specific to this case, and if not, what federal statute of limitations applies.

Wife gets attacked and robbed by 3 thugs in the parking lot of a small casino where she works. There was no security personnel outside, even though there was supposed to be. She is physically sore but will be fine, and she is afraid to go back to work there. What should the casino do to help her out?

I make my child support payments on time, but my ex-wife demands 6 months of payment in advance and threatens to withhold visitation rights if I don't comply. I'm struggling financially due to unemployment and finding large lump sums in a short time is difficult. Is there anything I can do to improve the situation? Can she withhold visitation if I don't comply?

What is a judgement instanter and how does it apply to a situation where a hospital bill has been paid by an insurance company, but no compensation was paid for sick time after being taken to the emergency room in 2008?

I live in Louisiana and my neighbor cut large limbs from my oak tree, up to 8 feet inside my property line, after I had previously cut some limbs on my side. He claims I implied permission by saying 'feel free to do what you need to do.' I want to know how to seek justice for this trespass and damage to my property, and if I can claim loss of use and enjoyment, damage to surrounding plants, and mental anguish in a civil case.

I have an issue with ABC debt relief. They were supposed to represent me in a $7,000 lawsuit by Weltman Weinberg, but they stopped taking automatic payments from my account without notice. Despite my repeated calls and emails, ABC did not advise me that this could lead to a default, nor did they handle my account as promised. Now, Weltman is refusing my payment offers, and ABC is not taking any action. I want to know if I have a case against ABC for their negligence and failure to handle my legal matter promptly. Additionally, I want to know if I can sue ABC for $15,000 to cover the original debt, legal fees, stress, and misrepresentation by their representatives.
