I am breaking my lease due to ADA Reasonable Accommodation and my severe asthma that has been triggered by the carpet in my apartment. The leasing manager is asking for more documentation than what the company’s legal requires to prove my need for a reasonable accommodation. I need a lawyer to review my medical letter from my doctor, as the leasing manager says I have to be on permanent disability, while the fair housing language and ADA state I don’t have to be permanently disabled. The property is in Los Angeles, California, and nothing has been filed or reported yet.
