I am looking for the best lawyer to demand compensation and counter false accusations. He/She will take the case on contingency. I am a retired reporter and member of a human rights organization, supporting a female victim for justice. She was bullied by a successful businessman who has been charged with sexual assault and domestic violence. Now, the businessman, the plaintiff, accused me of threatening and defamation against me in the amount of $5,000,000. I posted an article on FB in August 2023. The article commented on the plaintiff's bad behavior, how he bullied the victim and caused her to attempt to end her life. The plaintiff's lawyer warned me to delete it or make allegations against me. The article was removed but still received the summons, including threatening, assisting in the victim's dissemination of the plaintiff's images, damaging his reputation. Those are false allegations. Evidence includes audio recording, plaintiff's verdicts.

I am considering a SaaS/merchant service sales job that includes a non-compete clause stating a 24-month restriction after leaving the company, prohibiting employment with companies selling similar or the same products and restricting sales in any state where business was conducted. Is this non-compete too broad and unenforceable, especially considering the FTC's proposed rule against non-compete agreements?

I have been living in an illegal apartment for 3 years, and the landlord used self-help eviction without proper notice, resulting in the loss of all my belongings. Despite having evidence of renting the apartment and being denied accommodations under the ADA, I was ordered to remove my belongings by a certain date. The case was sent to housing court but returned to district court, leaving my belongings in limbo and potentially being discarded. Who can I seek judicial review with or where do I file in a situation like this, especially since I was told I can't appeal as the plaintiff?
