I am pregnant and do not want the father to have any financial obligation to our child unless we are married. Additionally, I want to prevent either of us from having claims to each other's personal property, cash, and investments. Is there a document I can have someone generate that meets these wishes?

I had a verbal agreement to buy a friend's car, paid him an amount upfront and was paying him monthly, but there was never a signed agreement or transfer of ownership. The vehicle was towed and impounded while we were on deployment, and my friend did not resolve the issue. I cancelled my payments and bought a new vehicle. Am I in any financial or legal obligation to him?

I leased a new car on 2/16/2013, but when I went to pick it up, it was a different car, not even the correct color. The contract included the wrong color and no VIN number of the car I thought I was leasing. I made a note of the correct VIN on my iPhone. The salesman admitted to the mistake, and the sales consultant offered to correct it. However, I now have buyer's remorse and want to get out of the lease. What is your advice on this issue?

I have been living with my partner for 8 years, and we are both scared that getting married would mess up our relationship. We live as a married couple, but we are not legally married. The house we live in is his, and we have jointly purchased a truck. I have my own car, which I bought with money from my divorce. If something happens to my partner or if we split up, he says I would have to leave my car until I pay it off. I owe $8,000 on it. Additionally, if something happens to him, what rights do I have regarding our joint accounts and property? We put our money in his accounts, and I have Power of Attorney, but his oldest daughter is also on these accounts. How can I protect myself legally?
