I am requesting representation on a civil rights case scheduled for trial in the US District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Case number CV-00027-CVE. I have already prevailed on 8th amendment excessive force claims and defeated 2 defendants' immunity claims. The trial is scheduled for November 18, 2019. Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I am connected?

I am considering sending them a letter offering a repayment plan, but I want to know my best course of action, including whether I should sue them in Minnesota where they now reside, and how to handle potential bankruptcy issues.

We own a small family business. Our son, who worked for us, was put into an alcohol treatment program, and the insurance company initially approved and paid for it. However, they later realized our son didn't work after May and their policy states that coverage is only for active employees. We argued that he was still considered an employee, but they disregarded that. We were still paying for his insurance for months after May. The insurance company now says we need an employee handbook describing the medical leave policy. Can we create one now, or is that considered fraud?
