I am the beneficiary of my mom's 401k, credit union, and life insurance policy. My brother and I were named Co-executors. I am opening a bank account to pay her debts and disburse the money evenly to my siblings, as per my Mom's wishes. My brother wants to be on the account so we both sign the checks when the money is disbursed. However, he said I can pay the debts without his signature. What is your opinion on this?

Is there any minimum time that a person must occupy a HUD subsidized apartment or face eviction? My sister lives in Palmer, Mass, but has been staying with me in upstate NY to help care for our 85-year-old mother and my father in a nursing home. Her landlord has noticed her absence and told her to occupy her apartment or face eviction. There is no mention of this in her lease. What should her course of action be?
