I am the Director of Development for a nonprofit that has never had a privacy policy or terms and conditions. We collect personal information from visitors, donors, and financial donations. My Executive Director has asked me to draft a privacy policy, but I am concerned about my qualifications and the potential for continued information collection without a policy. What if the contract agreed upon does not contain all elements in the written agreement as was agreed upon. The individual represented by an attorney is autistic so was unable to read the final document and the attorney did not read the finalized document to the individual. Is that contract binding, and what steps can be taken if the contract is found to be problematic?
