I borrowed money for my education between 1988 and 1993 and initiated a school loan consolidation in 1997. Three entities—DLS Direct Loan Service, Sallie Mae, and Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency—were involved, and their improper servicing led to my financial credit destruction. A partial consolidation occurred, while the remaining loan component was erroneously defaulted. Uncontestable documentation shows the consolidation was properly validated and fully paid, but a default claim was erroneously submitted. Despite administrative directives to avert the default, only partial consolidation took place, and the default was not entirely averted. I am now being sued 15 years later for two loan components submitted for collection by the US Department of Education. Would you concur with my legal perspective, and does it appear to be supported in its entirety by your understanding of the applicable law?

I have been wrongfully accused of forging a signature on a Crummey power. I have acted in good faith as a trustee for 18 years without compensation and with no personal interest in the proceeds. What should I do if I am accused of forgery, and what are the potential consequences if the other side prevails?

I received a letter from my state's Department of Justice requesting certified copies of medical records from my main provider. I'm unsure if it's a formal 'Request to Produce' and how many certified copies I need. Additionally, I need to understand the legal requirements for submitting these records as evidence, including whether they need to be certified and how to ensure they are admissible under hearsay rules.

I am trying to claim early retirement for medical issues documented by my PCP and other MDs. I have been a nurse for 30 years and recently faced false accusations of being a drug addict, affecting my professional and personal life. My medical records contain incorrect information, and I have been unable to get them corrected. Additionally, my ex-husband is aggressively seeking full custody of our children. What type of law covers these issues, and how can I protect myself, my professional credibility, and my children?

I received a motion for summary judgment about an unpaid medical bill from 2009. I am willing to pay the debt but want to avoid or reduce extra fees such as interest, statutory costs, and fees. I need to respond to the motion within two weeks. What is the best way to handle this situation, and do I need to file any specific documents to oppose the motion for summary judgment?

Can a plaintiff attorney file a garnishment writ to the IRS without the debtor's knowledge, and can they receive the debtor's tax refund if the debtor directs the refund to a trust, spouse, or against future taxes? Additionally, can a plaintiff attorney force a debtor to file their taxes, and what happens to a court-ordered garnishment for alimony and child support if the ex-wife remarries the same man?
