I bought a Bulldog in August 2008, and she started having knee problems in November 2008. She's only 10 months old as of March 10, 2009. She already had a $3,500 surgery on one knee, and now she needs another one that will cost $7,000. I paid $3,000 for her. Should I take the pet store to court even though they told me they do not cover knees and hips, and we signed paperwork stating that, but we didn't know it was on there until now? Should I do something, or am I just plain screwed? Please help if you can.

A new nurse, who was previously rehired after leaving on not-so-good terms and wanted my job, told me that a third party (the supervisor on duty) said I smelled like liquor and must keep a bottle in my office. The third party assured the new nurse that she had never smelled liquor on my breath. I am upset and want to take action. Do I have any type of written employment contract?

My boyfriend accidentally caused a fire that burned down a friend's run-down trailer home while burning branches on her property. The friend had no homeowner's insurance and took a personal loan to purchase the trailer. My boyfriend owns a house with homeowner's insurance. Will he be liable for the loss, and would his homeowner's insurance provide any coverage?

What will happen when I get a littering ticket in Northern Virginia for a cigarette butt for the first time and I have to go to court? Do I have to go to jail for that, or just need to pay a fine? If I have to go to jail, can I choose to do community service in litter abatement activities instead? Should I hire a lawyer for my case?

I was recently pulled over and received a ticket for driving 74 mph in a 60 mph zone. I drive this stretch of highway daily and believe the area where I was pulled over is actually a 65 mph zone. Should they have to drop this ticket?
