My company has a contract with M.T.A (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) at Grand Central Terminal and Metro North Railroads. I work the day shift from Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm, earning a prevailing wage of $26.60/hr. I was asked to cover the night route in Grand Central Terminal from July 2020 to September 2020 in addition to my morning route. I was told I would not receive time and a half for this overtime, but later found out this was incorrect. When I approached my employer about this, I was threatened. Additionally, I am owed sick days from 2020 that I did not use. Can I sue for pain and suffering, and what are my options for recovering unpaid wages and sick days?
