My sister, who has had her license for only 3 months, drove while blacked out drunk, crashed into a concrete divider, and then fled the scene with a guy from the bar who was following her. No other cars were involved, and nobody was hurt. The police arrived before she got home but were from a different town. She told the police she was too drunk to drive and got a ride home. What legal consequences could she face, and could this end up in her favor as there is no medical proof of intoxication?

I live in Texas but was on a work trip to California where I experienced a disturbing incident at a hotel. While showering, I noticed a man watching me through an AC vent in my hotel room. The hotel management dismissed my claims and even threatened me when I insisted on reporting it. I have recorded evidence and police reports. I'm unsure if I should wait for the police or seek my own attorney. Should I pursue this in California or Texas, and what type of lawyer should I look for?
