After a parent's death, the sibling in charge of the parent's living will sent a text giving me permission to do what I want with the parent's truck. I sold the truck, had the original title, and the truck was not in probate. Now, the sibling has filed for a title after the truck was sold and is threatening to report the truck stolen if I don’t return it. I also took care of picking up the truck from police custody and the cremation cost. I don’t feel any of this is right. What state are you in? What steps have you taken so far? Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
