I filed a claim for workman's compensation and a claim against an electric company in South Carolina for electrocution. I went blind, had a hole blown in my left arm, and lost sensation in my fingers. I was treated at Chapel Hill Burn Center for three days. I filed the claim on March 15, 2017, with Tippens & Zurosky L.L.P. in Charlotte, NC, but after almost two years, my attorney has not contacted me or provided any updates. The attorney's associate said they couldn't find insurance for the companies involved. I need help filing another claim before it's too late. What options do I have now, and why did my attorney take so long to inform me about the lack of insurance?

I want to take the person who hit me to court. The insurance placed me at fault, and mine placed him at fault, so the case was dropped. I tried to get his information to let him know I was taking it to court, but the insurance won't give his information. I received a ticket at the scene, but it was then dropped. What do I need to do to proceed with taking him to court?
