I found something that caught my attention regarding eligibility for a gun permit. What does it mean that the state has the right to take my conviction into consideration for determining whether or not to give me a gun permit, and can I sue the state for that?

Was a contract legal when it was poorly drawn up by two employees of a public agency with no jurisdiction to sign it, and was never signed by a general manager or approved by the Board of Directors, yet the contractor worked for 48 months for a $500/month stipend plus expenses and materials, resulting in a final bill of over $300,000?

I am a retired part-time driver for Lyft and Uber in Colorado and have created an LLC to manage my income and expenses. I am concerned about protecting my personal assets, such as my house and IRA, from potential lawsuits by riders. Can I get my LLC's name included in my Uber and Lyft contracts to ensure that income is paid to the LLC rather than to me personally?

I have been paying monthly insurance premiums on a car I sold 8 years ago. I contacted my agent, who requested proof of my friend's insurance on the car. My friend is sending the declaration page. My agent said she would fight for a refund but didn't know if there was a limit on how far back they can go. I live in Arizona and the insurance company is Farmers. What is the statute of limitations for refunding on an unnecessary policy in Arizona, and what are my chances of getting a refund?

I live in NJ and was insured by State Farm for my home policy. On January 8, 2014, a sewer pipe froze and broke, causing total loss of my basement due to flooding from sewage water. I need to know if I have any rights to extend the time to submit a list of personal losses. Due to circumstances beyond my control, including caring for my ill parents, my husband's ongoing health issues, the loss of our dog, and my own mental health struggles, I am still struggling to submit the list within the 2-year deadline. Additionally, my steps to the basement were not replaced, causing my husband to fall and injure his back. Are there any laws or exceptions that would allow me more time to submit all my property?
