I gave you a five-star rating. I am going to draft a letter to the property owners of the unit. I want to discuss what damages I should reasonably request. I can document several doctor visits for upper respiratory treatment during this time of occupancy. Can we schedule a call for tomorrow (Friday) or tonight?

I live in California and am a victim of stalking at my apartment complex. I have reviewed Civil Code 1946.7 and provided my apartment management with a 14-day notice to terminate our lease without penalty, along with a police report. The management initially required a 30-day notice but I believe Civil Code 1946.7 allows for only a 14-day notice. I want to ensure I am adhering to California law and understand my rights, including those of my husband, regarding early termination of the lease due to stalking. What should I do if the management refuses my 14-day notice and insists on 30 days?

I started a company alone and invited a software engineer friend to join me, offering him a $60K annual salary and 25% equity. We created an agreement stating his commitment to 84 hours per week, but it was never signed and the company was not legally incorporated. After two months, he resigned, and since then, I've renovated almost every facet of the business. I'm concerned he might claim his 25% equity if the company becomes successful. Am I safe, and does he have any legal ability to claim the equity?

What are the statute of limitations for bank overdraft fees in Indiana and Ohio, and how should I handle a situation where a debt collection agency is attempting to collect on an old debt that I believe I have already paid off?

I have a prenuptial agreement that is witnessed and notarized, and a promissory note that is signed by a witness but not notarized. Both were created about 10 years ago, and I signed the promissory note under duress for $15,000. I am now being asked to pay, but I cannot financially and do not want to. Are these documents both legal and enforceable in South Carolina?
