Mitchell S. asked
I have a court date next Tuesday to request the termination of spousal support based on a DV130 order and criminal protective order. My ex-husband's attorney is arguing that my behavior led to the violence and is asking for me to pay court fees. I want to review the paperwork and prepare to represent myself. Do I need to defend myself on the DV issue, and how should I proceed with my statement to the court?

My home was repossessed in July 2014 and turned over to my servicer Select Portfolio Servicing. I informed the homeowners association, but they continue to send me monthly notices for collection of dues. I no longer reside there. I believe I am no longer required to pay. Additionally, I need to get my name off the deed. How do I accomplish this?

I live in Colorado, but my husband works for a firm in California. We have a judgment against us and a NOTICE OF LEVY, which has frozen our account. I am filling out paperwork to amend the levy, as we are trying to pay off or settle the debt. The judgment is for $35k, and I have a "RETURN TO LEVYING OFFICER, DO NOT FILE WITH COURT" form with a Claim of Exemption. I was told they can't take all our wages, but I need help understanding how to fill out the form correctly and whether the money in our account, which is from wages, can be protected.
